Spanish doesn’t have to be
the subject that keeps everyone up at night.
One-to-one online Spanish lessons, taught in Spanish and matched exactly to the specification your child is studying — with steady progress towards one exam, not a whole language.
DBS checked · Native Spanish speaker · Based in the UK, teaching students nationwide
About
A native Spanish tutor who knows the specification inside out.
I’m Glaymar, a native Spanish speaker teaching GCSE Spanish online to students across the UK. My lessons focus on exactly what AQA, Edexcel and Eduqas examiners are looking for — not just fluency, but the specific vocabulary, structures and exam technique that turn understanding into marks on the page.
- Native Spanish speaker
- DBS checked
- Experience preparing students specifically for GCSE Spanish
- Lessons by video call with a shared digital whiteboard
- Materials matched to the AQA, Edexcel and Eduqas specifications
How lessons work
Every lesson targets a specific part of the exam.
No vague “general Spanish practice” — each session builds one of the four skills examiners assess, using the topic vocabulary set out by your exam board.
Listening
Exam-style audio practice, accents from across the Spanish-speaking world, and strategies for inference questions.
Speaking
Mock speaking exams covering the photo card, role-play and general conversation, with recordings and detailed feedback.
Reading
Authentic and exam-style texts, translation technique, and the trickier vocabulary that shows up at Higher Tier.
Writing
High-level structures, connectives and all three tenses, with line-by-line correction of every piece — just as an examiner would mark it.
Specification-led planning
We start by checking your child’s exact syllabus, so we know precisely which topics and vocabulary will come up.
Real past papers
We work through official past papers, marked to the same standard an examiner would use.
A note after every lesson
Parents and students get a short summary of what was covered and any homework — no need to chase it up.
Results
The average improvement: two full grades.
Here’s what typically happens between the first assessment in September and the final exam in June.
“My daughter went from dreading the speaking exam to asking for extra mock practice herself. The difference showed within two months.”

Before you book, you’re probably wondering this.
Which exam board do you teach?
I prepare students for AQA, Edexcel and Eduqas/WJEC, at both Foundation and Higher Tier. If you’re not sure which one your child is studying, we can check together in the first lesson.
What are online lessons like?
By video call, with a shared digital whiteboard and materials sent ahead of each session. All you need is an internet connection and a device with a camera.
How old are your students?
Mostly Year 10 and Year 11, though I also help with resits and quick top-ups before mock exams.
Do you teach group lessons?
I can work with pairs of siblings or friends at the same level on request, but my main format is one-to-one, so lessons match each student’s own pace.
